General Registration Opens

Mandatory Parent Meeting for All Sailing Families

One parent from each family is required to attend. Sailor attendance is requested but not mandatory. Relevant program information such as typical day’s activities, expectations and goals will be discussed and you will have the opportunity to meet some of our instructors and volunteer staff and participate in a Q&A session. Required forms will be handed out, plus sign-ups for Parent On Duty (POD). This is the only meeting we will have before opening day so please make every effort to attend.

Opening Day at Weed Beach Sailing Area

The primary goal for this day is to get the ramps down to the water so the sailors have a rock-free area from which to launch their boats. We also open the sheds and garages and prepare them for the summer. The start time coincides with the low tide schedule. Please wear shorts and water shoes and bring a broom -- we provide coffee, juice and doughnuts!

DJST Closing Day at Weed Beach Sailing Area

All sailors & parents requested at least part of the scheduled time. Ramps will be pulled up, boats and sails washed off and equipment put away. The start time coincides with the low tide schedule. Wear shorts and water shoes and bring a broom -- we provide coffee, juice and doughnuts!
